The Mugombe Village Community Water Project

Mugombe village is located 190 km east of Kigoma in western Tanzania. It is a rmote village with no power and a population of 10,700 people. Currently there are 24 public water tops providing water for the entire community.

Open Africa has taken on the responsibility of raising money to provide the much needed water for this village. The community leaders have determined that 25 additional taps are needed as well as a new water tank. The total cost for the additional taps, tank, water source hookup and labor will be 70,000,000 Tanzanian Schillings or aproximately $70,000 US Dollars.
