Day 1
After breakfast we will begin our cultural experiences. We will participate in a brief Swahili lesson and learn some cultural Rites of Passage before returning to the lodge.

Day 2
Today we enjoy a Machame cultural tourism program based in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Day 3
Today we set out for our game drive.

Day 4
Today, as we head for the Serengeti plains, we will stop at Olduvai Gorge for an archaeological tale of the Cradle of Mankind.

Day 5
After an early breakfast, we head off on an early morning game drive to get a glimpse of the predators looking for their own breakfast. The earlier the game drive, the better to see the animal life in action before the hot afternoon sun makes them lazy.

Day 6
Today we travel from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 7
Today is a game drive through the Ngorongoro Crater to see all the many species of animals living together inside the crater.

Day 8
Today is a game drive through Lake Manyara with their large population of elephants and baboons.

Day 9
We spend today with a Maasai tribe who takes you in as one of the members of the community.

Day 10
Today, after breakfast, we head back to Moshi, where our journey began. We encourage you to extend your trip with either a challenging climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, or perhaps a leisure vacation on Zanzibar Island. We will be greeted and given a tour of a local market by a successful women's group.Lunch will be a traditional African meal. We first will visit Tarangire National Park for a walking tour.Dinner will be served at our campsite.We set up camp in the Serengeti and overnight here.After lunch we set off again on a game drive, this time to the hippo pool.Dinner at camp site.

The crater is inhabited by Maasai and today we will get a brief lesson on Maasai culture, as well as a walking tour from a member of the community.Hundreds of flamingos crowd the lake where we will be lunching.Dinner and camp will be at Lake Manyara.We head off to a Maasai village where we will spend the night.Women will spend the day as a Maasai woman would, while the men do the same.We will spend some time on a walking tour of the village and also talk to the chief medicine man about his role and local medicines.

The evening is spent around the fire, dancing and chanting. You are encouraged to join in the festivities. It is truly a memorable experience.You may also want to extend your trip by volunteering at one of the many local orphanages or schools. This is a wonderful way to experience Africa and we thoroughly encourage it.
